Based on the poem by W.B Yeats. I hope I can do it justice, with what I see in it.
Watch out tonight,
there’s not a star in the sky I see.
Nothin but Inanna’s Chariot
winking back at me.
I draw the poison inside my veins
and I smell your shaman’s weed
Like the stones at Mecca we are more
than what we seem.
But we fear this war
like we fear this economy
Romans rolling in the blood-dimmed tide
loosed in hypocrisy
I look deep into your eyes
And I know you see what I see
I cry now as I start to fly
But I know I have to leave
(chorus)
Turning and turning this widening gyre
the falcon cannot hear the falconer
things fall apart, the center cannot hold
and Anarchy is loosed upon the world
I’m running and running as fast as I can
I know that I won’t find a better man
but this Storm is bigger than I am
and it hurts so hard
It hurts so hard
Interconnection, inner space, enter time
this is the sacrament of turning blood into wine
We come to the stars, our DNA the divine
Chariots of the Gods spinning truth in the rhyme
You opened the wormhole from hatred to love
Desire the sygil bound in ink and in blood
Over quantum space and folded time
we tell the story of the sacred vine
That grows out from the rooftops and climbs high
no Tower of Babel can touch this sky
It is our only hope, our prayer to the night
That this which has been done will come round right
And that the fire in our chests is the Eternal Flame
Not bound by secrets but only to the Name
of the Rose in our souls which has been maimed
by illusions of those who said we’re all insane
The prophecy is this: divine it now
We are the ones who’ve been waiting around
To change this world, to spread the Light
and only with unity will we set things right
WE are the Second Coming of Christ
Turning and turning this widening gyre
the falcon cannot hear the falconer
Things fall apart, the center cannot hold
As Anarchy is loosed upon this world
I’m running and running as fast as I can
I know that I won’t find a better man
But the Storm is bigger than I am
And it hurts so hard…
We are the Second Coming of Christ
Not one man, or one woman, but all of you and I
We breathe in the darkness, and give out the Light
Hold it tight
Hold it tight
We are the sun to the Darkest Night
Not one man, or one woman, but all of you and I
We breathe in the darkness, and give out the Light
For we are the Second Coming of Christ.
Hold it tight.
