Children of the Wasteland

New song, will probably be released Summer of 2009. For those 1 in 3 girls, all my friends have gone through this. Somehow I was spared. Blessings to the scarred ones, the beautiful ones, you are stronger than you know.

It’s a picturesque silhouette
it hides her lines and pirouettes
the tears into gentle curves
instead of all the caverns of her hurt
It’s a paradise, but portraits lie
about the Great Below
and the overflow
she eats her way to ugliness
so no one will ever hurt her again
But she’s more beautiful with scars
than without them.

It’s a serenade of an awful place
no one should ever wake with blood on their face
I wanna kill the ones who can only rape
the love right from your heart
Religion is the wreckless love
that puts a price on every sacred dove
Innocence is a state of mind
not determined by your body or life
so go fly away now, dove
on your wings of blood
the wind will bless you.

We step into the crowded room
filled with so many girls and so many wounds
and the men who love them painfully
get bitten like they were the Beast
and its a saddened loom, a woven moon
in a tapestry that spoke too soon
I hope that time can heal us all
with its painful memories and lovesick calls
