Caught in a tidal wave, a hurricane a’ blowin
Knock me down with one look, and stab me where I’m hurtin’
Pick me up on a nor’easter pirate wind, and the clock is moving faster
and Time Wave’s kicking in
The mathematics of the situation slowly collapsin’
and I am closer to the core of it, but science won’t admit
that we are free, free, free radicals in the atoms of the stars
We will eat up all the earth and move to the pyramids on Mars
where Cydonia is cryin just like New York City did
Just before the Big One baby, now come on and take a hit
Through your third eye projected, am I wrong or am I right?
Is this vision of the future just born out of my mad mind?
Or are we Light, Light, Light in the Belly of the Wheel
Why do you keep your heart inside? The Truth is what you feel
Caught in a dreamscape that I cannot wake from
I see the pattern moving faster and I hear those distant drums
I hear Sitting Bull asking just “Who can own the earth?”
As the Ghost Dance brings up refugees buried in the dirt
And the chorus of the oceans sings a tragic opera
But still the ancient whales forgive, say “Someday you will learn,
That you are Light, Light, Light in the Belly of the Wheel
Why do you keep your heart inside? The Truth is what you feel.”
So I’ll sing, sing, sing until the strings begin to break
and the fire in my lungs turns into an ashen grave
When the bombs go off I’ll be a ghost holding a guitar
and my words will sink into the ground but the story’s in the stars
So come on, lonely ones, and find out who you are
It’s a process of unburying the voice inside your heart.
