Here’s our performance of 33rd Degree at O’Riley’s in Dallas–First show together as a band!
Lyrics HERE.
The circle is open
I join the ones who have spoken
Their voice is the west wind
Their song is precession
(chorus)
Second star to the right
Make me a woman tonight
Feel what I hear under your skin
And breathe this night in
Bow down before It
You can’t ignore It
The science of the forest
the quantum leaping in
Under the Veil now
Clothed in the meltdown
Take me aboard now
I’m ready to begin
(chorus)
Sit down and tell me
You think we’re crazy
To see what is unseen
To hear beyond the Sound
These songs are alive now
You let your soul out
Just listen and write down
The notes from the sky
(chorus)
Mia Doi Todd.
I’ve been looking for a way out
Of this crazy situation now–
The world in crisis; seems like paradise
Was lost and won’t be found
And all of life is endangered
And on the verge of breaking down.
I wake up all fear and dread-locked
By all the things I cannot talk about.
We built our house of cards on ignorance,
A landfill of deceit. The walls are hollow
And we listen, worry what they will secrete.
Woe woe woe woe is we.
We all know they’ve got it fixed
In politico-economics.
We’re junking bonds; we’re dropping
Bombs we’ve made by guzzling gasoline.
Public confidence is shaken
Like the apple from the tree.
Namu Amida Butsu, gomen.
Forgive me for my trespasses.
I do my best to exist east of Eden,
West of garbagetown, over-accumulated
Karma. Armageddon, full meltdown.
Woe woe woe woe is me.
I’ve been looking for a way out
Of this crazy situation now–
Our world in crisis; seems like paradise
Was lost and won’t be found
And both our lives are endangered
And on the verge of breaking down.
Woe woe woe woe is we.
Then the garden gates swing wide,
And we enter paradise.
We are angels; we are good.
We open our wings; we’ve understood
How time and change are fine,
They’re the way. They’re the way.

Thanks!
“The Long Countdown” will be out EARLY OCTOBER 2009!
Guess what?!?! The first tracks from my new album, “The Long Countdown” are now up and mastered! Check out “Tune In” and “Centerfold” at my Myspace Page and let me know whatcha think!
Both were recorded, mixed, and mastered by my good friend Josh Reeves of the Global Reality Show. Not only is he a rockin’ talk show host, addressing issues ranging from ancient civilizations, ufos, exo-politics and the methodology of control in our modern society, but he’s a great friend and fellow musician who just happens to love the music enough to inspire badass recording sessions, and then kicks me out of the studio to work incessantly until they’re mixed to perfection. MUCH love and thanks to the entire Reeves family, Jamie, Josh, and Jake, for the many times I have crashed their house with my guitar, wine, and weird conversations.
I am VERY excited about this! Let me know whatchya’ll think about the new songs!
Love,
Delphi
If love is a foreign legion you have to level
with your hegemonic democratic war machine
I guess it never occurred to you that you might need a back up
a lover to invoke your heartbroken dreams
I’ll sing about the tetrahedral signs you draw
to keep your possessions at bay
but my heart is the Holy Ghost you forgot
when you signed your life away
Dr. Faustus hear me out
Dr. Frankenstein, put your books down
Dr. Jekyll, get out
I’m drinkin’ Ophelia’s wine
If fire is an elemental thing you control
with your nuclear demons inside
wiping out the populations of your soul
while you buy yourself a bit more time
Then my magick is a storm cloud over the sea
raining frogs down in Tokyo
everything’s connected like the web to the tree
you can’t destroy what was created, you know
Dr. Faustus hear me out
Dr. Frankenstein, put your books down
Dr. Jekyll, get out
I’m drinkin’ Ophelia’s wine
Oh, my love
Get on your pale horse
Ride away from here
Oh, my love,
Get on your chariot
Swing low
cause they will eat your fear
with its head between the finger and the trigger.
An opinion does not kill or maim
An idea has no weapon
An apocalypse is a revelation
not Death, destroyer of worlds.
Don’t tell me not to have an opinion
on genocide.
Don’t tell me not to have an opinion
when leaders rob children of their human rights.
Remember, Gaza?
Remember, Guantanamo?
Do you really want to put your faith in Hope?
Or how about in that elusive bullet,
Truth, the mist of a strange gun,
the smoking mirror, the grassy knoll hit man,
the Mossad death squads, the Iran Contras,
the MK Ultra sex slave apprentices,
the Montauk time captives,
the 17 of the 19, the Building Sevens,
and the coincidences
that I don’t believe are coincidences?
Feed my mind the whole grain, not the processed;
Give me info-shamanic organic non-material, non-matter
because it does
not
matter.
Your country does not matter
Your anthem does not matter
Your judgment does not matter.
I feel more connection to a Muslim in the Middle East
than to the ravings of a Sunday School priest class.
Fake nails that don’t scratch the surface
Music sung out your ass.
Shut up.
You have destroyed the Revelation before it’s begun.
But there’s a handful of others who have opinions for guns
and they wield them delicately, carving the air
bulletproof; gunslingers of the last days
Children of the Wasteland, falling away
and against the ebb and flow of the peace train
that’s just a swan song when you chip off the paint.
Truth is a bullet thought, slicing the air;
Challenging the brainpan
to remain intact.
